Lulu
Lulu is a Senegal parrot who has lived with me for 10 years. She does not talk, but she communicates her needs to me clearly. Birds are social creatures with personalities and like us, have certain routines and expectations. All animals require a commitment. Care, love and time, similar to what we give to children, are all requirements.
My photographs of Lulu are ongoing, and align with many human aspects, such as curiousity, fear, centeredness, and being alone. She presently is taking a snooze in her cage as I write this.
